JSWSN Mission Statement:
Jewish Singles With Special Needs (JSWSN) makes a positive difference in the lives of Jewish people with disabilities. State of the art technology fosters independent contact between people with disabilities thereby empowering individuals to perpetuate the traditional values of Jewish life, religion and community.
Kesher is the Hebrew word for connections. Our mission to facilitate connections among Jewish people with disabilities is based on our commitment to the tradition of Tzedakah. Finding a life partner is a challenge for anyone. Jews with disabilities face additional obstacles in the path toward social contact, love, marriage and continuation of the Jewish family.
Our mission has become even more critical than ever with the increasing numbers of terror victims in Israel who will need to find their soul mate while facing new disabilities.
In our ever-growing list of goals we have set out to achieve, a few have put in focus for the upstart phase of development. They include:
Creating a world class, user friendly and technologically advanced Matchmaking portal at jswsn.org.
Spreading the word to the Jewish community at large, as well as to victims of terror in Israel.
Bringing web site usability and accessibility to a new level (in compliance with Accessibility Internet Rallies (AIR) protocols.)
Add languages such as Hebrew, French, and Spanish to the site.
Improve the quality of life for one, and the quality of life for all, is blessed.
Who we are:
JSWSN is the creation of Devora Alouf, and her relentlessly dedicated team. Since 1989 Devora Alouf has been dedicated to helping Jewish Singles connect to each other and build Jewish homes. In 1989, Jewish Quality Singles, www.jqs.com and later, www.jmatch.com was formed to accomplish this goal, and help Jews worldwide in the search of a life partner. To date Devora Alouf, has hundreds of marriages to her name, and counting! JSWSN was created on Nov 10th 2002, and is in the exciting start up phase.
