I am an honest, trustworthy, guy who is looking for a lovely lady to make my life more complete. In spite of living an active li
I am a person who tries very hard to do the "right" thing. I believe in doing mitzvot ... and I suppose this is one of the guiding principles of my life. I am well-known in the Jewish community of Vancouver. Recently, I was chosen as the front cover model for the 2010 Greater Vancouver Jewish Community Centre Program Guide. I have also recently had a letter to the Editor published in the Vancouver "Jewish Independent".
I suppoe my ability to cope with Tourette Syndrome gives my life purpose ... for although I have T.S., it does NOT have me! Actually, at this point in my life, my tics are hardly present, and my medications are being reduced. Nevertheless, I do have "fallout" from this syndrome ... some ADD, a bit of anxiety, etc.
My Mother and brothers are very supportive, and this is most helpful. I come from an educated and wholesome family ... and this is one of the reasons that I would not like to move rom Vancouver. The other reason is that Vancouver is a truly magnificent city ... I did live in Toronto for 10 years, and was so delighted to finally return to Vancouver. Perhaps I should also mention that on numerous polls, Vancouver is usually ratyed as the #1 city in the world regarding livability.
I am proud of my family: my Mom is a music therapist (who works with adults with mental illness, and with children with special needs) and a watercolout artist; one brother is a sports medicine physician, another is a high school special-needs teacher, and the third is a graduate in entrepreneurial managenent. I also have 2 sisters-in-law,a nephew and a neice. I picture myself finding the right lady for me ... and being as happy and satisfied as they are. Certainly, she would be welcomed into our family.
Although I am not Orthodox, Judaism does play a significant role in my life. I believe the values and principles help to draw us together as a compassionate family. I sing baritone/bass in my Synagogue Choir.
I am looking for a person of generosity of spirit, kindness, and willing to work out any small problems. Although I most definitely have a disability, I would like to meet someone who is not GREATLY more disabled than am I. This is in no way a reflection on my views of those with disabilities, but rather this is simply because I want to have a relationship that will WORK!!! I tend to "fit between th cracks" ... and this is very isolating.
I believe one should start with open, easy communication. I would love to go for coffee and/or a light meal in a place with a beautiful view (this is VERY EASY in Vancouver!) Then, perhaps a gentle walk in one of Vancouver's gorgeous neighbourhoods.Ideally, this would provide ample opportunity (as far as first dates go) for us to converse and get to know one-another. Hopefully, further dates would pave the way for an enduring and loving relationship.
