I was not brought up religious. My mom converted to Judaism meeting all the rabbinical requirements before I was born. I never really had a great understanding of what Judaism was about. My father didn't teach me about judaism either growing up because at that time it wasn't important to him. My father is now lubavitch. He has been very religious for about 12 or more years now. Slowly, I have been acquiring more and more knowledge about Judaism. I am spent shabbos over at his house sometimes I am learning more and more. However, My goal isn't to be as religious as him. I know that being Jewish is a great thing and I embrace it with open arms. I don't uphold most of the laws of Judaism currently but I know that G-d is here with me and will hopefully help me will my daily struggles.
I know that it is the only way that I would be happy in a marriage. If I have kids, I want them to be Jewish and to know about Judaism unlike I did.
